Landed made a successful 4-year-old debut Sunday at Aqueduct, making the lead soon after the start under Frankie Pennington then holding longshot Sweet Brown Sugar at bay to win the $125,000 Broadway Stakes for New York-bred fillies and mares by one length.
It was 2 1/4 lengths back to Speightful Lily, who was 3 1/2 lengths clear of Caldwell Luvs Gold. Tough Street finished fifth followed by the surprising favorite My Magic Wand. The original field of 11 was scratched down to six with the defections of Bon Adieu, Catchphrase, Bernietakescharge, Cara’s Time, and Snappin Buttons.
