Newgate’s next planned start is the $7 million Breeders’ Cup Classic (G1) Nov. 2.

Three Chimneys announced Oct. 23 that Into Mischief ‘s grade 1-winning son, Newgate , will stand at Three Chimneys upon his retirement. His next planned start is the $7 million Breeders’ Cup Classic (G1).

An $850,000 2021 Keeneland September Yearling Sale purchase who races for Hall of Fame trainer Bob Baffert and the powerhouse ownership of SF Racing, Starlight Racing, Madaket Stables, Robert E. Masterson, Stonestreet Stables, Jay A. Schoenfarber, Waves Edge Capital, and Catherine Donovan, Newgate broke his maiden at first asking as a 2-year-old in July 2022 at Del Mar going 5 1/2 furlongs.

As a 3-year-old he captured the 2023 Robert B. Lewis Stakes (G3) in a field that included eventual grade 1 winner Arabian Lion.
